“I’ll tell you something—and there’s no way you would know this—it’s pronounced ‘Coburn,'” she said.
She explained that the unusual spelling led to constant misunderstandings throughout her childhood.

She joked that growing up with the name was similar to the story told in Johnny Cash’s famous song A Boy Named Sue, where an unusual name becomes a source of teasing but also builds resilience.

“We should all give our kids devastating middle names just so that you can grow up with something to be totally bullied for,” she said humorously.
